Emergency Care
The Sanford Hospital Luverne Emergency Department provides emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Emergency Department is staffed with registered nurses who are certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Physicians are on call 24-hours a day. Support staff is available 24-hours a day to assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment.

The Ambulance Department is professionally staffed with one full-time paramedic and 15 part-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). The Rock County Ambulance of Sanford Hospital Luverne is directed by Timothy P. Ceynowa, MD.

The Rock County Ambulance Department at Sanford Hospital Luverne covers approximately 290 square miles. The ambulance serves the cities of Hills, Beaver Creek, Hardwick, Kenneth, Magnolia, Kanaranzi, Ash Creek, Steen, and Luverne. Many of these cities have fire/rescue and/or first responder teams.

The Rock County Ambulance responds to approximately 600 calls per year, ranging from motor vehicle accidents to various medical emergencies.
