Sanford Luverne Medical Center's Emergency Department provides emergency care 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Our Emergency Department is staffed with registered nurses who are certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Physicians are on call 24-hours-a-day. Support staff is available 24-hours-a-day to assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment.
The Ambulance Department is professionally staffed with one full-time paramedic and 15 part-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). The Rock County Ambulance of Sanford Luverne Medical Center is directed by Timothy P. Ceynowa, MD.
A helipad offers air ambulance at Sanford Luverne Medical Center.

The Rock County Ambulance Department at Sanford Luverne Medical Center covers approximately 290 square miles. The ambulance serves the cities of Hills, Beaver Creek, Hardwick, Kenneth, Magnolia, Kanaranzi, Ash Creek, Steen, and Luverne. Many of these cities have fire/rescue and/or first responder teams.
The Rock County Ambulance responds to approximately 600 calls per year, ranging from motor vehicle accidents to various medical emergencies.
