Lobby
The Sanford Luverne lobby is spacious and inviting. A fireplace, seating area, and outdoor view provide a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Patients register for clinic visits at the clinic registration desk on the east side of the lobby, or outpatient hospital tests and procedures and inpatient stays at the hospital registration desk on the west side.
Birthing Suite Bathroom
The spacious birthing suite bathrooms include a full-size whirlpool bathtub.
Chapel
The Sanford Luverne Chapel is available to families and visitors for meditation, spiritual reflection, or quite time alone.
Cottage Bedroom
Our hospice care facility, known as The Cottage, has four patient bedrooms. Each bedroom is private with a half bath. The bedrooms have large windows and are decorated individually with a beautiful handmade wall quilt and furnished with a hospital bed, bedside table, full size closet, dresser, recliner and side chair. The room is equipped with a nurse call-light, phone, television with VCR, and a CD player with music CD's. There is a central shower and whirlpool room for patient use.
Cottage Den
The Cottage den is a comfortable room for family members to visit and rest apart from the patient rooms. The room is furnished with a Queen-size Sofa Sleeper available for loved ones who wish to spend the night. There is an adjoining bathroom with shower for overnight guests and visitors. The den is furnished with two comfortable chairs, a television with VCR, table and chair set, and telephone. A bookshelf is filled with a variety of books and materials to read. There are also children's movies and toys available for young children visiting. A second family bedroom with half bath is also available for additional families wishing to spend the night.
Cottage Living
Beautifully constructed, The Cottage, a hospice residence, provides a home-like atmosphere for patients, family members and visitors. The house features an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling, large windows and warm colors. The living room has two leather sofas, wing back chairs and a beautiful quartz rock wall native to the Blue Mounds area. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area provides home-cooked meals for patients and the coffee pot is always on for visitors.
Inpatient Room
Sanford Hospital Luverne inpatient rooms are comfortable and spacious. Each room has an oak cabinet, television, large bathroom with a shower, and is nicely decorated to feel more like home.
Birthing Suite
The Sanford Hospital Luverne Birthing Suites have new birthing beds with lumbar support. A sofa sleeper and recliner are provided in each suite for a family member or two who may wish to stay with the new mom and baby. New moms enjoy the large bathrooms and full-size whirlpool tubs (see separate virtual tour). A nutrition station, supplied with healthy foods for new parents and siblings, is available near the nursery.
Nursery
The Sanford Hospital Luverne Nursery was hand-painted by a local artist. It is decorated with themes from favorite nursery rhymes. The nursery is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week so newborns are constantly monitored. The nursery is a secure (locked) area. Added security systems are in place for maximum infant security.
Rehab Gym
The Sanford Hospital Luverne Rehab Services Department Gym is a large, bright area where various aspects of physical, occupational, and cardiac rehabilitation are performed. Patients enjoy the views from the windows as they participate in therapy.
Clinic Guest Center
The Sanford Clinic Luverne Guest Center is an accommodating, comfortable area that includes a special corner just for children.
